Good to know.
How do I get in?
Sign up in the app – that’s all. If a friend gives you an invite code, enter it when you sign up and the two of you are connected right away. If the code comes as a link, the app opens with it already filled in. Tryps is for people aged 16 and over.
Does Tryps track my location?
No. Where you are comes from your tryps – from what you enter yourself. You can change it by hand at any time. The map shows cities, not street numbers.
Who sees my plans?
You decide for every tryp and every place: “Friends” or “Friends of friends”. Nothing is public, and without an account you see nothing – not even through a shared link.
Who gets the address of my table?
Only you and the guests you’ve accepted – or who took a seat on a “Just come” table. Everyone else only sees the city and the time.
Will I get notifications all the time?
No. Your friends’ new plans arrive bundled, once a day at 9 in the morning. Tryps only pings you right away when it’s about you: a request, an acceptance, a message.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Tryps is currently in a closed beta on iPhone.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, right in the settings. To confirm you type your username. Your account, profile, photos, tryps, places and follows are then deleted. Messages you sent in a group chat stay for the others, without your name. Details are in the app’s privacy policy.
